This morning I was getting caught up on blogs today and reading Amber's post I was reminded that I had wanted to do a "tulle and a teacup" post. (I'm also hoping to get in on that Traveling Yellow Skirt action...)
I thought this would be a good opportunity since it's a beautiful day and no one seems to be around in my flat.
I live in the basement flat and this is the stairway down into the laundry room and into the backdoor to my place. It's dirty so I'm sitting on a plastic bag so my fabulous tulle skirt doesn't get all mucked up.
Skully shirt, skully teacup and saucer, and my heart shaped flerp floops. And my "workhorse" cardigan.
I'm being a bit cheeky here since this is my upstairs neighbour's patio. I moved their lamp so I could take the photo. If they had come outside I would have offered them some tea and then tried to get a photo with their doggie Marlow.
My sister bought me this cup at a one of a kind craft show. They are very piratey.
Outtake! Looking at the strawberry plant. And the damn dandillions!
And now it's just noon, I've got caught up on Game of Thrones, have had a walk, drank a latte and did my dishes.
Now what?
I LOVED that meme- and you are a wonderful addition to it! Now I can join- I had thought it was to late- but I better ride on your (fashionable) coat tails!
ReplyDeleteSuper fabulous! Sounds like you've already started a lovely day. In your shoes, I'd probably go shopping.. lol. But I'm also a bad influence.
ReplyDeleteI imagine your skirt as yellow.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the cheeky photo on the neighbors porch! And the floops--where can I locate a pair?
ReplyDeleteLovely! I adore a tulle skirt, and a pirate cup. Thanks for sharing with VisibleMonday.
ReplyDeleteI thought about joining the tulle and teacup train, but figured it was too late, so thanks for the inspiration! I see you've got your Melissa flipflops out already, mine are still in the closet. You're much more organized than I am on a holiday Monday to get a blog post done already. Enjoy the rest of the day, and the gorgeous weather!
ReplyDeleteAh, lovely! The last picture is my favourite, but I like that you took one on your neighbour's porch too.
ReplyDeleteMan, that cardigan is such a workhorse.. Is there any outfit it doesn't look good with?
I need some tulle! I have teacups. Also want to get in on the yellow skirt thing...
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures - I like the fun locations.
Megan, it's great to see you outside your work environment, the steps are a particularly effective setting for your version of tulle and a tea cup. You're looking decidedly cheeky so I am indeed wondering what is next... Love the Melissa flip flops, and the skirt is a beauty. xxx
ReplyDeleteExcellent time to resurrect this meme! And adding a skull T-shirt - you've just upped the standard, and it's marvelous!
ReplyDeleteOh, tulle and your teacup. Dream on the dirty steps, and I mean that, dreamy. I love the ambiance in your first photo so much. Good job moving into the neighbour's porch too. Flerp flops - a new favourite term for the footwear. LOL. That cardigan is also a fantastic go-to piece.
ReplyDeleteHey Megan, Well done! I enjoyed this series last autumn, and now you've got me hankering for a tulle skirt too. Oh, and a teacup. Very cool shirt...actually I love how you've juxtaposed sweet, edgy, campy...all fun.
ReplyDeleteSue xo
Oh, and I was hoping to email you, but could not see a contact email addy anywhere on your blog. I am wanting to add my name to the yellow skirt list, and you are up for it soon.

Great to see you outside - shows you in a whole new light. I need a tulle skirt, but can't find one (yet). The skull tee and the pirate cup and saucer make this a really edgy look. Love it.
ReplyDeletePlayful. Very cool to see. Also happy to see those lovely sandals.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for an outfit post! Fun! I love how your style is totally intertwined in the theme.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun, sweet post. You're looking very romantic in the stairwell! Glad you caught up with this meme ... I never managed it, but I was sorry I did not. Good job, and may I have another cup? This time with a crumpet, please.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very unique style! LOVE the shoes.
ReplyDeleteMegan, I love everything about this - the light, the particulars of the locations and your outfit and your poses and expressions and your sister-gifted pirate-y cup, and-and-and! Wicked-awesome lamp-repositioning. "Now what?" is a fantastic question - I think we're all looking forward to the answers, which now just might include tulle-and-teacup from Bella and Val and Terri and Sheila, hooray!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shout-out - it was your under-the-desk spark that lit the fire under me to get started blogging and inspired my first post. :)
Awww, that means a lot to me. Thanks sweetheart!
